Yumeiho Therapy

For scoliosis and a sedentary lifestyle, the most suitable treatment is Yumeiho Therapy.

Yumeiho Therapy

History

It originated in Japan from the ancient culture of Chinese medicine, which was later inherited by Japanese culture. As a technique, it spread among monks who used it to treat injuries sustained in martial arts, dating back to the era of Buddhist temples.

Later, it was established as a scientific and therapeutic technique in 1980 by Dr. Saionji Masayuki, who made it famous throughout Japan for the treatment of scoliosis and postural defects.

It gradually spread to the Western world and is used as a therapy for back and postural issues.

It arrived in Italy in 2019 through the collaboration of Naturalbiolifting with Dr. Chiara Cicolella, who is the only certified Yumeiho Therapist based in Milan.

The therapy

It is a manual therapeutic method that works on the musculoskeletal and visceral systems to improve or maintain health; it originated in Japan and is also known as the ‘Pelvic Correction Method’.

The therapy itself is applied following an anamnesis phase and includes approximately 100 very specific corrective manipulations (KATA) for every joint, muscle, and tendon. The techniques used include osteo-articular, myofascial, acupressure (similar to acupuncture and reflexology), and visceral methods, along with elements of stretching.

The therapist, therefore, stimulates specific points corresponding to meridians according to traditional Chinese medicine, and may find different alterations in each individual.
To release these blockages, which often cause pain and tension, the therapist can align the spine and other areas of the body quickly and safely, for example, through thrusts (known for their characteristic ‘crack’ sound).

Benefits

It is based on the body’s self-healing philosophy, according to which, under optimal conditions (biological, structural, visceral), the organism is capable of self-regulating and self-correcting, resulting in the restoration of health.
Often, however, due to trauma, poor posture, and excessive physical and mental stress, the body does not function as it should, and joints and fasciae tend to lock and become fibrous.

The treatment addresses this, freeing the joints and making tendons more elastic, resulting in an overall improvement in physical mobility and flexibility.

This is a truly effective approach for many issues related to chronic and acute pathologies, which can be resolved or improved in this way. The effect is immediate, as there is a mechanical release and a rebalancing from a postural, functional, and energetic perspective at the end of the session.

Scientific studies by Dr. Maciej Dluski, director of the European Yumeiho Center, demonstrate significant effectiveness for Scoliosis, especially in childhood.
