Yumeiho is a manual therapeutic method that works on the musculoskeletal system to improve or maintain health; it originated in Japan and is also known as the ‘Pelvic Correction Method’.
It is based on the philosophy of the body’s self-healing, according to which the organism is capable of self-regulation and self-correction, resulting in the restoration of its state of health.
Often, however, due to poor posture, trauma, and excessive physical and mental stress, the body does not function as it should and the joints and fascia tend to stiffen and become fibrotic.
The Yumeiho technique, in fact, is based on the biomechanical study of the body through postural analysis and clinical reasoning that promotes health. In each session, postural asymmetries, the symptoms reported by the patient, and the evolution of their clinical history are analyzed.
The therapy itself is applied after the anamnesis and includes approximately 100 very specific corrective manipulations (KATA) for each joint, muscle, and tendon. The techniques used are osteo-articular, myofascial, acupressure (similar to acupuncture and reflexology), visceral, and stretching elements.
The Yumeiho therapist stimulates precise points that correspond to the meridians of Chinese Oriental medicine and releases the blockages encountered with joint releases in complete safety.
Sometimes the procedure causes initial pain, but at the end of the treatment one feels a lightness in movement and the symptom disappears.
